"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGE BOB SQUARE PANTS!" Okay so Bradley told me he wanted to be Sponge Bob for Halloween. However, you can't just go to Wal-mart and buy a premade costume of SB. So, I made this for him. I had him test it out really good and make sure he could move and see really well. Anyway, tonight he chickened out of wearing it because all his friends were going to be the "regular" costumes. So, my wasted $4 and work were thrown aside to be none other than Batman (last years costume). We had a lot of fun though. This was our last night with Maddie and Nate. They leave in the morning for Washington. Then they leave the country in Jan. I'm so thankful they were able to squeeze in one more visit tonight. Thanks guys. Pictures are below. Jake couldn't just slide down the bounce house slide. He would jump down! He's my crazy one! Posted by Picasa

'myspace We had a blast Saturday night at the FC Dallas game thanks to Mimi and Grandpa and an early Birthday preasent for Bradley. They lost by a point but it was an awesome game. It went into two 15 minute overtimes and a shootout! The best part was probably the end when the FC Dallas goalie leveled a Colorado player. He punched the guy in the face and the guy hit the ground immediatley. Meanwhile fans are throwing drinks and smoke bombs on the field. Crazy fun. Of course being the "responsible" adults we are, we told our children that this is not sportsman like conduct and no one should ever act this way. :) Bradley loved the game. I spray painted their hair red to support our team. Jake wanted his spikey, so we went crazy with his hair. And yes my shirt is signed by four of the FC Dallas team members, and NO I was not wearing it when they signed it! The four guys came to Greenville to the YMCA and held a clinic for the kids. They signed the shirt at the clinic. Thank you so much Mom and Dad. I know this was for Bradley and his Birthday, but I think we all had a Great Time! And thank you Gary, Coby, and Maddie for joining us in our night of fun! Posted by Picasa

This post is for the family. We lost again 31-21. ughhhh. Don't want to talk about it. And with the house, the people can't get finacing from anybody. So, no sold house. Double ughhhh. Really don't want to talk about it.

On a happy note. I am taking Bradley and Jake to the FC Dallas soccer game tonight in Frisco at Pizza Hut park. Now that I will talk about later with pictures :)

Before I explain the pictures below I want to ask that you all remeber my friend Julie Beth and her family in your prayers. Her mom passed away unexpectedly Monday morning. Kathy had nine Grandkids and that just makes me sad because you know she was a good grandmother and she won't even get to meet JB's newest baby that is due in March. At least she won't meet her here on earth. It just seems like a long time to wait to see the ones we love again in Heaven even though we know they are so much happier and in a much better place. My heart is soo sad for my friend. She was such a support for me when I had a difficult time in college. I was not able to go to the funeral this morning, but I did get to go to the visitation last night. I'm not sure exactly what to say or how to encourage them, but just take a moment to ask God to be with them and comfort them.

Bradley really wanted me to post his pumpkin. He painted Sponge Bob on one side and Patrick on the other. On the two other adjacent sides he painted their houses. He won first place in the second grade. He worked really hard on his pumpkin and I'm glad the judges were able to judge on this ability and not the ones that were really awesome but looked like a little too much parent involvement :)

Jake painted a "scawey" (scarey) ghost on his pumpkin. He also got a new gel ant farm from Target and the ants arrived in the mail the other day. This toy looked really cool in the store but I am not impressed with this ant farm. Do not buy this toy. The ants are not tunneling like the product said they would. I may have to empty it in two days and put dirt in it.

Attempt 3! Posted by Picasa
Okay, first let's get the yucky part of the evening out of the way. We lost 20-3. Now on to the fun part.

Before the game we went to Ennis and met up with some of our best friends in the whole world Jennifer and Jeff and Grant, Brody, Nash, and Barrett. Jennifer is one of my friends I met when we moved to Ferris. We always have so much fun together and I never leave after visiting with Jennifer without a smile on my face and some good laughs. Her husband was kind enough to drop her off at Don Jose's with three of her boys so we could have some yummy mexican food. (Please excuse the chocolate ice cream all over our kids faces!) Then we all headed over to an awesome park to play for about 20 minutes. This was our final attempt to get a picture of all six boys together. We finally decided the botttom of the slide would be easier than the top.

We had so much fun tonight even though our time was short together. We will have to make a trip out to Waxahachie soon so we can have more time together. The last picture is one I found in a old folder. This was when I lived in Atlanta and we met up with Jennifer at her mom's. We went to a carnival and strongly urged Grant to ride this spinning ride with Bradley. We felt really bad after we saw how pale he turned and how sick he got :) We love our friends! We are so glad we moved closer to them! Thanks for a fun time and laughs, we needed it!

Weekend Update... with Laura Scott.

Posted by Picasa Okay, I'm having way too much fun with Picasa tonight. Well, it was a busy, but fun weekend. Jamil, you may need to plan another trip to see you nephews, because Uncle Gary may have won the boys over this weekend. :)

Maddie and Nate and Gary and Coby came to our house Saturday and then again on Sunday. The kids played and played as you can see from pictures. They even made it in time to catch Bradley's soccer game. They were able to find his team easily due to the flourecent uniforms that only Bradley's team has. Everyone else gets normal colors except for us. Go figure. Doesn't matter though, we are the only team that has Pizza Hut for our sponsor. So take that when we have an awesome end of the season party!

Update on the house.................................................................Nothing! Supposedly the people are getting their financing through Red River Federal Credit Union which is slow according to the realtor. Randy and I are doubtful as to celebrating a sold house any time soon.

Bradley went roller skating for the first time Sunday! His friend had a Birthday party. Bradley never gave up and was very cautious, but after an hour and a half he made it out to the middle of the rink to skate with everyone. I think he only fell five times. He'd rather take his time and do something right, than to just jump right in and go for it. I must say he was quite impressed with my skating skills. And just so you know, they still play all the same music from our day! "Hey Mickey your so fine, your so fine you blow my mind hey Mickey!" I couldn't believe it! Of course instead of the hokey pokey, they do the Cha Cha Cha. Yea, I never caught on to that one. Just because I can sing and skate doesn't mean I have any rythm.

Sunday after church we ate lunch with the preacher and his wife and their freshman son (they also have 2 girls in college). I was a little nervous about this, but it went really well. We actually talked for an hour and a half and they said they wanted to have us over some time. He is new to town and church like we are. We loved this time with them Sunday. They are a very neat couple.

Tomorrow my friend from down the street is coming over with her ten month old. And she is my kind of friend. I asked her what time she thought she might come and she said 1:00! Yes, I don't fully wake up until about 10:00. Finally, a friend who enjoys playing in the afternoon!

Don't know why I decided to share so much stuff tonight. I guess I've just had a really nice weekend and don't know which part was my favorite, so I'll share it all!

Fun times with Maddie and Nate! Posted by Picasa

I couldn't resist saturating the picture with Picasa just to impress how flourecent their uniforms are! Posted by Picasa

Another District Win!

Well we won again. 27-10 Too tired to post anything about it. We've been out celebrating at the head coaches house. Time for bed since we have a 10:30 soccer game in the morning. Maybe I can remember to bring the camera to this one! :) Go LIONS!!! 2-1 for district!

Pray! Cross your fingers! Do whatever it takes! We are so close to selling! We are waiting for the phone call. The realtor called at 2:40 with our first offer on the house. We counter offered and we are just waiting on the call to see what they say. I hope this is it! We have had it on the market for five months and we are almost desperate! Posted by Picasa

UPDATE 10/12/06
Well the people are at the bank today seeing what kind of financing they can get. That's just poor realtor skills. Any good realtor would have had them pre-approved before ever showing them houses! :) How frusterating. They are also asking us to pay their closing cost (which we agreed) so I'm sure they are trying to find out exactly what that will be. At least the process is still going and they didn't just flat out reject our counter offer and say it's over. Even though it is small (After unloading everything into our new house here, we are amazed at how we ever fit all of our stuff into 1200 sq ft.) , it really is a nice house. Everything is pretty new inside and well taken care of. The market in Atlanta right now is just really bad and slow! I'll update more when we hear more.

How long is an hour to a 7 year old? Yesterday after church Bradley was dying to go play with his friends down the street. We told Bradley after lunch he would have to wait about an hour and then he could go to their house. That way they would have time to get home and eat lunch and change clothes. Well, I left to go to Wal-mart with Jake and Randy laid down to take a nap. So I guess Jake and I played a little too long at Wal-mart and when I came home I found this note on the table. So cute to see how Bradley judged an hour since he hasn't learned how to tell time yet. He can read the time on the clock, but he doesn't fully understand how the hours and minutes work all together. :) Posted by Picasa

I'm gone and I know it was long enough because I watched Madagascar. Posted by Picasa

We won! We Won! WE WON!!!!

V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!

Go LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We won our first game tonight Finally! For those of you familiar with coaching, this is what we call a building year. All new staff with kids that haven't received propper coaching for the last however many years. The head coach Jeff Cordell came with an impressive record. Something like 37 wins and only 6 losses (don't quote me exact numbers, but I'm close.) He's never lost more than two games in a row until this year in Greenville. So, although this may be a small win for us against Terrell, it's still a VICTORY!!! It's also a morale booster for the kids. We are in a very difficult district though so who knows for the rest of the season. Richardson Pearce, Mesquite Poteet, Forney, Rockwall Heath, HIGHLAND PARK (very good team). Anyway, we are at least celebrating tonight!!!!

We have had such a special treat this weekend getting to spend time with Randy's family at his mom's house. His brother Gary and his wife Coby and their kids Maddie and Nate are in the country for a couple of months. Without revealing to much detail, I will try to explain their situation. They are working for the Big Guy. Their title of work is in the diabetes field. They were recently asked, or forced to leave the country they were in because the government there decided to kick out all Non government organizations. Thank God for their safety and His hand being over them.

They will be in the states for a couple of months as they regroup and prepare to head back out into the field. They are doing a great work at spreading a great message to many. Anyway, we are sad they had to leave their home in the other country, but we are very thankful for this unplanned visit we have been given. It felt like Christmas this weekend having the family all together. Randy's sister and her husband and two boys also came down from Greenville Illinois. (I know we try to make it easy for my mother in law to remember where her kids live, same city just different states.) I hope this situation I've tried to explain does not confuse too many people. Just know that they are here from far away and we are thankful to have the next couple of weeks with them!

By the way, all the cousins had a great time wrestling with Uncle Gary. This is were they all decided to dog pile him! Posted by Picasa
